New Units....

The 7th and 8th graders will be starting Pickleball and Table Tennis and the 6th graders will be rotationg through Whiffleball, Pickleball and Table Tennis starting next week!

6th Grade Bench Press Champ!

Congratulations to Caleb on doing 44 reps with 40 pounds! He is the 6th grade champion of 2009!

Intramurals!

Morning Intramurals has been going strong and the students are having a blast playing floor hockey and basketball before school. Studies show that students do better in school when they are active in the morning!

After school the Basketball Intramurals are also going great! The kids are working on their shooting, passing, and dribbling and also learning about zone and man to man defense and are having fun scrimmaging the other students from the different grade levels!

Steroid Assignment!

All of the students have been introduced ot the dangers of steroids this week. With all of the news about A-ROD this week it has been a very appropriate time for the students to spend a day in the IMC researching the dangers of steroids, watching a short film on the subject, and taking a 10 point quiz to test their knowledge.

Joe W. won the 7th grade boys title by benching 60 pounds 43 times!
Tommy B. Won the 8th grade boys title by benching 80 pounds 25 times!

Pack The Place!

A big congratulations to everyone involved with "Pack The Place" this week! The boys and girls both won and all of the fans did an outstanding job representing Lakeview!

A special thanks to Mr. Dodd for bringing back the 2003 JV Basketball Champs! It was great seeing all of those boys all grown up and very successful! I can't believe they will be going to college this year! I have been very fortunate to be able to coach some great teams and many great athletes here at Lakeview!

Good Luck to both Varsity teams during the rest of the season and the playoffs! Way to go SPARTANS!

Basketball Intramurals....

Basketball Intramurals will be starting Monday February 9th. It will go from 3:00 to 4:30. There will be a schedule given out to the students on the first day. This is for boys and it is for all grade levels.

PACK THE PLACE!

This Wednesday and Thursday will be Pack The Place! The Girls will be home on Wednesday and the Boys will be home Thursday. The games will start @ 4:00 and will be in the OLD GYM!
